Hey guys! Welcome to Slow On Blog and here’s my writing a bit for you. Today’s post is Bride of the Water God Review. It’s been a while after I decided to watch this drama. At first, I decided to stop watching dramas but the boredom keeps me coming to drama again. I finished watching Goblin – I know it’s too late to watch Goblin but sometimes i like the old drama rather than the new one. I never imagined that this drama would be so unexpected and makes my imagination go beyond my expectation. Yes, I like a fantasy drama, romantic drama and history sometimes.

Info :

This drama is based on webtoon. Bride of Water God or sometimes they called it Bride of Habaek, has 16 episodes in total and each episode has approximately 1 hours 20 minutes. The genre of this drama is Fantasy, Comedy and Romance. Bride of Water God had a high rating and been broadcast internationally. Aside from the good plot of the drama, this drama has a sorrowful soundtrack that I found so memorable (ofc, because I keep listening to the song although it’s been a month since I watched the last episode)

Plot :

There are 2 different worlds which are Deity and Human. Yoon So Ah is a girl who lived by herself because her mother died and her father lost contact a long time ago. She becomes an independent girl and working as a Physiatrist. One night when she was thinking about her life and wondering alone, she meets Ha Baek by accident. Long tangled stories begin to reveal and every part of her life began to turn into an unpredictable ending.

Short Profile :

Nam Joo Hyuk as Ha Baek

The flower boy who was born on February 22, 1994. He is Nam Joo Hyuk, started to get his eye on the TV series named Who Are You: School 2015 in 2015. Well, I saw him from Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo to Weightlifting Kim Bok Joo, Cheese in the Trap and finally here, The Bride of Habaek, I’ll watch Who Are You: School 2015 because there he is. He looks farouche yet winsome and he is a good friend of Kim Ji Soo (that also starred in Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo as Wang Jung. They both look so twin like).

Shin Se Kyung as Yoon So Ah

The first time i saw her it was around 2013 since she starred on Fashion King as Lee Ga Young, well, that was an unforgettable drama and i somehow recommend you to watch it in your spare time. Shin Se Kyung was born on July 29, 1990 and active being an actress since she was 8 years old WOW! She is a great actress indeed. Through her experience more than a decade she’s listed as 40 most powerful celebrities in Korea which ranked 26th in 2011 and 14th in 2012 at Forbes. Proud of her (applause)

Krystal Jung as Moo Ra

Chrystal Soo Jung, known as Krystal is an American singer and actress based in South Korea. She was a former member of South Korean Girl group f(x) which participated in SM Entertainment. She debuted as a singer in 2009 and debuted her first television series in 2010 on More Charming By The Day as Jung Soo Jung. Krystal was born October 24, 1994 with American as her nationality. For your more information, Krystal is Jessica Jung (SNSD) sister. I know her from the time I watched The Heirs in 2013.

Gong Myung as Bi Ryeom

Gong Myung or Kim Dong Hyun (the original name) was born on May 26, 1994 and member of 5urprise (i just realized that he is a singer). He is a brother of Kim Do Young, member of NCT. I never saw him before but he already appeared on movie since 2013 on If You Were Me 6 as Seon Jae.

Lim Ju Hwan as Shin Hoo Ye

Lim Ju Hwan was born on May 18, 1982 and been active since he is 22 years old. His appearance on Uncontrollably Fond as Choi Ji Tae in 2016 was my first sight of him. Wait, he also appears on Boys over Flowers (?) I don’t know that he was there or maybe I’ve forgotten. Well, he won the Korean Model Star on 14th Asia Model Awards in 2019. Congratulation Ahjussi!

Favorite Scene :

Insane with the last episode, the truth is revealed, unpredictable ending and last episode is the most notable moment (I bet). Reach the last episode and see what you got! I feel bashful to say this, but i cried for half a minute lol.

Soundtrack :

The Reason Why – Yang Da Il

Glass Bridge – Savina & Drones

The Day I Dream – Kassy

Pop Pop – Kim E-Z

Reminds Me Of – Junggigo

Without You – Lucia

If you need money more than anything else because money will make you happy, that means what you need is happiness.
