Welcome everyone to Slow On Blog, right; today i want to review a 2019 romance movie from South Korea. Actually, I saw a lot of people on Instagram posting about both lead, Kim Go Eun and Jung Hae In.

Then I got curious and wanted to watch this so badly. I love both lead! I know Kim Go Eun from Goblin and Jung Hae In from Something in the Rain. Both of them have good chemistry and even they look like brother and sister as their smile, eyes and face are a bit the same.

Info:

Tune in For Love is a romance movie that aired on cinema on August 28, 2019. Tune in For Love also aired on Netflix. The film has a concept of retro and classic, the cinematography makes it real as if we were in the 1990s era. I didn’t even appear on earth at that time but okay, it’s interesting.

Plot:

Mi Soo (Kim Go Eun) was running her mother bakery with her aunt, Eun Ja (Kim Guk Hee) while Hyun Woo (Jung Hae In) was a guy who just got released from prison and he didn’t go to school.

All started when Hyun Woo went to the bakery and asked for anything that contained soy. But Mi Soo didn’t have it and suggested he go to the grocery store in front of the bakery. As he walks away from the bakery both Mi Soo and Eun Ja were curious about whom Hyun Woo really was. Later, he came back to the bakery asking for a part time job.

The next day, Hyun Woo becomes a part time worker and works at the bakery with Mi Soo and Eun Ja. Both Mi Soo and Hyun Woo were getting closer even though there were awkward things that stuck between them. Mi Soo still feels something was wrong with Hyun Woo because he didn’t want to share anything about his life with them.

One day, the old friend of Hyun Woo came to the bakery and asked Hyun Woo to join them. Hyun Woo accepted it and went with them. They went for a drink but from then, there will be a short clip about the past of Hyun Woo that makes him become prisoner and didn’t want to go to school anymore.

As the time went by, both Hyun Woo and Mi Soo did not contact each other because they both lost contact. But there once was a time where both of them meet at an unexpected time and unexpected place. Yes, they both met in front of the bakery that used to be Mi Soo’s bakery.

The bakery was closed. But the meeting was not that easy, they faced another problem, Hyun Woo was going to go to the military service the next day after they both met. This is actually a sad moment.

Knowing that will happen, Mi Soo decided to make an email for Hyun Woo to make the communication easier for them. But unfortunately, Mi Soo forgot to write the password for him, so he couldn’t login. Even though that happens, Mi Soo still starts her daily life and keeps sending messages to him.

After a longtime, he finally can figure out the password and reply to her message. Their second meeting was pretty good but there was always something that made them keep on separating. Most of their meetings will end up being separated.

This film really put the struggle of lovers. Some of the reasons made sense and I think it is possible for lovers nowadays. All the things that happen in this drama just around the meeting, patience, forgiving and end with a beautiful day.

Conclusion:

Let’s end this, because, if i started to write again, i will give the entire spoiler to this post and i didn’t want it to happen. I want you to watch it by yourself and discover what they were struggling with.

For some people, this movie is recommended (for those who have weak hearts and easily cry just by seeing the lovers apart) but some who are just like me, it did not match with us.

I like the idea of this story but I keep getting questions for some scenes. My biggest question is I wanted to know about what exactly happened to Hyun Woo’s friend that died on the rooftop of school, is it really Hyun Woo’s fault, why does he look so desperate by it? Have Hyun Woo and Mi Soo ever met in the past? Is it really a first love at the first sight film? Until the end of the movie I still couldn’t find the answer to those questions.

Something that I found amazing was Coldplay – Fix You as the BGM! It suits the film and I love Coldplay!

Okay, that’s the end of my review. You can comment about your impression after watching this film, I’d love to read it! So, thank you and see you on my next review!
